La raíz
El diario Perú 21 nos pidió colaborar como humoristas en su suplemento político titulado "El Otorongo". La razón: sentían que como comunicadores sintonizamos con las pulsiones de la coyuntura electoral en Perú. Y que podíamos plasmar esto de manera creativa.
La pepa
Ser humoristas o simplemente chongueros no era suficiente. Nuestro reto era sacarle al lector una reflexión sonreída, lo que equivalía a hacer observaciones profundas en forma de comentarios incisivos. De esa manera surgió la idea de analizar cada campaña política con una escala de medición: el "lornómetro" para la de Valentín Paniagua, el "pendejómetro" para la de Ollanta Humala, etc.
El fruto
Según Perú 21, la sección firmada por Toronja es una de las comentadas por sus lectores.
